McGill has partnered with the Planetair Centre, a Quebec-based non-profit organization, to make it easy to offset emissions associated with University-related air travel.

Offset your flight emissions in two quick steps: calculate the emissions from your trip by clicking on the airplane button below, then complete your transaction online by credit card. You may claim reimbursement in Workday Expenses under the “Carbon Offsets” expense item.

Contributions made through this initiative support Planetair’s Global Portfolio, which includes Gold-Standard-certified projects in energy efficiency and renewable energy, primarily in the Global South. These projects deliver immediate emission reductions and help finance climate initiatives that would not otherwise move forward without carbon finance.
